Yoroshiku Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: The large, U-shaped room, encircling the open kitchen on one side and the bar on the other, gives this space a surprisingly intimate feel --- just the privacy needed for slurping noodles and splitting okonomiyaki among friends.

Likes: Fried chicken; ramen; saké flights.
Dislikes: Limited wine and beer options.

Food & Drinks: Specializing in Hokkaido-style izakaya fare (drinking foods) and ramen, the menu offers snacks, including a first-rate fried chicken (called zangi); a few vegetables, such as a garlicky mushroom dish; pressed sushi; Japanese-style pancakes with various filling options; and both modern (think uni or Wagyu beef) and traditional ramen. Desserts range from Japanese classics like daigaku imo (candied sweet potato) to fun spins (matcha tiramisu), and ice cream in flavors of plum or pumpkin. Drinks are a focus, particularly the well-curated shochu, saké and Japanese whiskey collections, in which servers are well-versed. For the best breadth, pick one of the many flights available. Wine and beer options are fairly limited, however.
