Zlata Praha Restaurant Review:

This fun Astoria restaurant, which means “Golden Prague” in Czech, serves up all the Central European pub grub standards to bring your taste buds back to that last trip through the region. The crowded bar is plastered with pictures of Czech entertainers, many of whom appear from time to time. The open, 60-seat dining room is festooned with pictures and murals of Prague. Food is the genuine article---beef broth with liver dumplings, headcheese to be drizzled with white vinegar and eaten with onions, pork schnitzel in potato-cheese crust, and very lean roast duck. Starters include cabbage leaves stuffed with beef, pork and rice in tomato sauce; tender pirogi with sour cream; and homemade spicy potato pancakes served with apple sauce. A meal is not complete, of course, unless it is washed down with a terrific Czech beer.
