Zoup! Restaurant Review

: Zoup!, an authentic soup bar, is a great concept for a city with cold winters. It offers a dozen daily selections from a rotating repertoire of more than 200 steaming varieties. Soups are labeled as low-fat, vegetarian, spicy and dairy-free. All are ladled up with a side of chunky sourdough or multi-grain bread. We warm up to the zesty black bean, shrimp and corn chowder, Italian squash, down-home shrimp bisque and chicken potpie soup, complete with crust, but are always open to the daily specials as well. You can also taste-test until you find the potage that suitably piques your taste buds. Eat in or take home and combine your pick with sandwiches like the chicken Greek or tuna salad with lemon and capers. The list of salads includes chicken Caesar, Greek and Cobb. Nutritional information is available both online and at the eatery.

Zoup is Another Trendy Terrible Place

The shrimp and seafood etouffee was different. I wouldn't classify it as an etouffee though. Didn't feel like eating vegetarian split pea (what's the point without the hock?) or pumpkin pie soup or mac and cheese soup. Definitely wasn't going to try the lobster bisque after the experience with the etouffee. I opted for plain old chicken noodle with a grilled chicken fajita wrap. It was cold! I moved onto the soup and found that it was lacking in spices (or at least spices that added flavor). I was truly dissappointed that they totally botched a Chicken Noodle. No salt, no flavor, even sweet like it had a touch of sugar.
