Double Black? Yes, Johnnie Walker has designed a blended Scotch for this generation. Its name is misleading, as there is virtually no resemblance to the Black. This Scotch stands tall with an ultra alluring nose of peat and smoke with light fruit and spice notes. This is due to the addition of two superb single malts: Caol Ila (from Islay) and Talisker (from the Isle of Skye). The palate explodes with a more intense version of the nose coupled with dried fruits and a subtle, smoky sweetness. The finish is a light, spiced vanilla blanketed in a rich smokiness. Our advice? Next time you want Johnnie Walker Black, double down!
