FEBRUARY 2010 TASTES NEWSLETTER
There's a famous photo of culinary maven Julia Child and her husband, Paul, sitting in a bubble bath. The picture says "Happy Valentine's Day" and was sent to friends all over the world. The Childs were big on sending cards on February 14—simply because they were too busy around the holidays to mail off Christmas wishes! We are busy gourmets, too, and we love Valentine's Day. While to some it's just a Hallmark moment, we see it as an opportunity to have fun with romance—to break out an expensive bottle of Champagne, don something pretty and treat a loved one to a decadent dinner or a trip to Paris.
There are many ways to say "I love you" this Valentine's Day, and we've come up with a few of our favorite things. Whether you seek a romantic restaurant for a tête-à-tête, a fabulous spot for your honeymoon, an unusual gift, or a sexy bottle of wine, here are some suggestions that would make Cupid proud.
