Harney & Sons Sankar Silver Tip Green Tea - Review

Rare Assam Green Tea

No doubt that Harney & Sons consistently package great teas. You see them in hotels and restaurants but can also purchase them directly via their catalogue. We particularly liked the Sankar Silver Tip in their green tea selection. Not just for the taste — when properly brewed at it is often not done — but for how it made us feel. It is a rare tea sourced by Michael Harney in Assam. Rare because most Assams are black teas and this selection came from India’s best producer. In the production process, the big buds are steamed and sundried to produce silver buds. The flavor is subtle and complex. The brewed tea is flavorful and “sweeter” than a Japanese green tea with a truly unique and pleasant taste.
