SoRen Tea Estate Grey - Review

A Fashionable Flavor

Soren Tea Estate Grey is not just organic, but biodynamic

SoRen Tea's founding sisters, Sonnia Shields and Rena Williams, have combined their love of high-quality teas with their passion for fashion to create a brand that puts a modish twist on the ancient art of tea-making. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, SoRen was launched in 2011 and features eight fashion-inspired blends of luxury tea flavors with names culled from the world of chic trendsetters, including Madame Chanel and Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham. We sampled their Estate Grey, which offers a fruity vanilla spin on the classic bergamot notes of Earl Grey. Best: it's not just organic but also biodynamic!

Other fashionable flavors include Bohemian Peach, Vanilla Rouge, Posh Noir, Cashmere Crème and Coco Chic, the latter with a fruity African rooibos base and deep cacao overtones. SoRen treats their teas as you would a fine wine, recommending food pairings for each blend, which can be found on the company's website. For the Estate Grey they suggest pairing it with savory dishes, but we can just as easily see it with oatmeal or a scone in the morning! SoRen Tea's fashionable angle comes with a price tag: the small 2 to 5-ounce canisters range from $17 to $22 a piece, and three-cannister gift sets are available from $52 to $55. Treat yourself or a friend to the Rodarte of tea!
