Each chapter opens with a warm little overview of the area and its attractions followed by the reviews and the essentials such as phone numbers, hours and prices. Other helpful information includes an array of maps and extra tidbits at the bottom of each page highlighting tricks such as finding a nearby inn to lay one's head or the drink specials of the day. A focal point of this guide is its index where the restaurants are broken into different categories such as "Romantic Spots" or "Smoke Free" as well as the various kinds of cuisine, which includes everything from Cuban to Irish to Ethiopian. The only pieces that seem to be missing are photos of these beautiful locations she speaks of. But maybe that just gives one all the more excuse to go see the real thing firsthand, guide in hand.
