Top 10 Cruise Lines for Specialty Dining

Elegant dining awaits diners aboard Cunard cruises (photo credit: Cunard Line)

The legendary line behind such storied ships as Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, Cunard makes waves with its cuisine, as well, with a variety of specialty dining options offered aboard its cruise liners. Of note are Todd English's eponymous restaurants onboard Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria. In these elegant venues, guests can indulge in innovative Mediterranean dishes from one of the world's leading celebrity chefs. Those looking for a more interactive experience aboard Queen Mary 2 would do well to try the Chef's Galley, where cooking becomes performance art as chefs prepare meals in a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen. As for the fine dining restaurants found on the new Queen Elizabeth, they have been tailored to suit all tastes, ranging from the Asian flavors of Jasmine to the elevated Mexican cuisine of Aztec.

Todd English and The Verandah feature à la carte menus. A pre-set menu option is also available for $35 per person, which can be applied towards à la carte dining. Reservations are recommended, and are made on board.
