The Blue Man Group

The Blue Man Group, known for its innovative visuals and music spiced with comical flavor, began when Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman performed on the streets of New York City in the late 80s. Since then the trio has grown into a theater group of sixty men that perform all over the world.

Appearing regularly at the Charles Playhouse in Boston, the blue-painted fellows use numerous objects as musical instruments—from conventional strings and drums to unique tubes, air poles and even a shaker gong. Always uplifting and fun, they perform eight times per week, during both the afternoon and evening on the weekends.

Please note that things can sometimes get messy for audience members who like to be up-close-and-personal. So, if you'd like to sit in the "poncho section," as it is known, wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, even though you’ll be provided with a protective poncho. But don’t worry. All free-flying materials are washable and/or edible.

Children under five are not admitted.
