Sound of the Angels
Music to Our Ears and Palates

Exterior at Night

The grand opening of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the new home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, is being heralded as one of most important cultural events in the history of the city of angels. Architect Frank Gehry, conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen and acoustic designer Yasuhisa Toyota marked the opening by their presence. It is easily predictable that this very modernistic structure is likely to create some controversy.

Patina, run by veteran chef and restaurant owner Joachim Splichal, is the exclusive restaurant at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Patina will be open seven days a week and offer an extensive menu which includes pre- and post-event prix fix menus. The wine cellar boasts over 1,500 bottles of vintage and other fine European and California wines.

Gallo of Sonoma wines will be available to concertgoers along with other premium wines at all intermission bars and in the two restaurants inside the concert hall. Gallo of Sonoma, which this year is celebrating 70 years of winemaking, has been selected to supply the preferred wine of the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
