Phiaton PS 300 NC Headphones
Noise-Cancelling Headphones for Travel![]() Phiaton's PS 300 NC model headphones A good set of headphones is an absolute must when traveling. On numerous journeys, we've enlisted our trusty Bose headphones to do the job. But, when we caught word of Phiaton's new line of high-end headphones, we just had to give them a try. Their PS 300 NC model impressed us with its design; we liked the leather details and gold accents. Appearances aside, the headphones feature Phiaton's noise-cancelling technology, which helps to block outside noise generated from aircraft engines, so it's ideal for use on airplanes. Another benefit is that the set comes with a whole suite of attachments, including adapters for use when traveling to other countries. While we are fans of its sleek look and compact case, we weren't as thrilled with the fact that it doesn't take regular batteries and uses instead special rechargeable ones, meaning we have to travel with the charger in tow. On the noise-cancelling headphones market, the PS 300 NC is in competition with the Bose QuietComfort 3, which retails for around $349. The Phiaton model is priced much lower at $240, so for those seeking headphones comparable to the Bose but in a smaller size and price tag, we would recommend the PS 300 NC.
