Four Seasons Resorts, Lana'i - Hotel Reviews

Both resorts are equally desirable places to spend your holiday; it simply depends what your goals are. If you're looking for an ocean-style retreat, Manele Bay fits the bill, situated on a cliff overlooking Manele Bay beaches. Here, you can indulge in water sports, including great snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities. It's also an excellent lure for a company retreat, offering a fully-fledged conference center. And if it's true laid-back bliss that you seek, pick Manele Bay with its 20,000-square-foot spa offering everything from ti-leaf wraps to Pohaku wela (hot stone) massages.
Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele, on the other hand, is located at the uppermost peak of the island, providing a cooler, balmier retreat, often surrounded by clouds and fog. Set in the highlands, the Lodge at Koele provides an atmosphere reminiscent of an African lodge, a refreshing change from your typical sun, surf and sand Hawaiian beach resort.
The good news, though, is that no matter which resort you choose to call home, you'll have full access to all the amenities of both. Services at both hotels are interchangeable: in fact, a shuttle will take its guests between the two hotels every 30 minutes. So while the Lodge at Koele does not have a spa, you can still indulge in a seaweed body mask at Manele Bay. Both resorts offer fantastic golfing opportunities. The Lodge at Koele boasts The Experience golf course, while Manele Bay offers The Challenge course. There is also a myriad of island attractions beyond both resorts. Try your hand at skeet shooting, one of the island's most popular attractions, explore the area by renting a four-wheel drive or embark on snorkeling and scuba excursions.
