A True History Lesson

Perhaps you've heard the stories about Americans who travel abroad. They tell natives of the foreign countries they visit that they come from America but Texans will tell you: "We are from Texas." Prior to becoming a state, Texas was a republic and today the Daughters of the Republic care for historical landmarks: starting with the Alamo. The Battle of the Alamo was a big deal and Texans take pride in their heritage. There is quite a bit of history in the Lone Star State and San Antonio is a charming place to experience it. If you are in San Antonio we believe that La Mansion is the absolute best dorm for your learning adventure.

A lot of history goes on here and the old college has been preserved and renovated over the years. Close to the Alamo and everything else, right on the Riverwalk, the location is prime—however it can be a bit noisy in the evening, should your room face the river. Afterwards you will want to take a cruise and stroll along the river bank to the Arneson River Theatre, which leads to the entrance of La Villita.
