The Royal Treatment
in a New Atmosphere
The
London NYC, formerly the Rihga Royal New York, continues its
predecessor’s promise of luxury. With its streamlined
design, this Manhattan property includes 564 suites and flats
transformed by Irish interior designer David Collins. Business
and leisure travelers alike appreciate the London NYC’s
proximity to business and shopping districts, Central Park,
Carnegie Hall and Broadway theaters.
Suites
and flats are spacious—London Vista Suites boast 500 square
feet, London Suites range from 350-500 square feet and London
Flats range from 150-300 square feet—and some rooms feature
a parlor area separated from the bedroom by French doors. The
Waterworks-designed bathrooms include double rain showerheads,
hand-cut mosaics, robes and personal apothecary products. In
the bedroom, guests will find Egyptian cotton bedding by Fili
D’Oro of Italy. All rooms include wireless high-speed
Internet and two-line telephones as well as flat-screen LCD
TVs and iHome iPod docking stations.
The
London NYC Club, the hotel’s 24-hour fitness center, will
debut in the summer of 2007 and will feature a Zen-inspired sundeck
with a fire pit, yoga classes, spa services and access to personal
trainers, nutritionists and sports therapists.
The
London NYC also houses the first U.S. location of chef Gordon
Ramsay’s namesake restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at The
London. Guests can choose where they will enjoy Ramsay’s
modern French cuisine: the main restaurant; the more casual
area of the restaurant, The London Bar; or in-room on one of
the custom-designed swiveling dinner tables.
The hotel’s concierge partner, Quintessentially,
can assist with restaurant reservations, tickets to shows
and concerts, VIP treatment at nightclubs and many other services.
