It's in vogue these days for airlines to partner with top restaurants or celebrity chefs to create new mile-high menus. The latest to adopt this trend is Cathay Pacific, which has joined Swire Hotels to launch a menu promotion for First and Business Class passengers. Through the end of January 2012, a collection of dishes found on the menus at Swire Hotels' restaurants in Hong Kong and Beijing will be made available onboard select Cathay Pacific flights departing from Hong Kong. Café Gray Deluxe at The Upper House, Feast at EAST, and Sureño and Bei at The Opposite House will contribute more than 30 dishes, offering innovative interpretations of traditional North Asian, European and Mediterranean cuisine. Showcasing unique signature flavors — Iberico chorizo with prawn and tzatziki sauce, for example, and black miso pork belly with black sugar, baby taro and brassica — Cathay Pacific is sure to entice on-the-go food lovers longing for more than standard in-flight fare.
