Her Majesty The Queen Christens Cunard's Newest Ship

Her Majesty visiting the Grand Lobby to view the marquetry panel created by David Linely.
Continuing a grand royal tradition, Her Majesty The Queen recently christened Cunard Line's newest ocean liner, Queen Elizabeth, during a regal ceremony in England. This second largest ship for Cunard boasts a capacity of 2,068 guests and features numerous luxurious design traditions (think wood paneling and intricate chandeliers) that link the ship to her sister vessels and their predecessors. As a direct homage to the original Queen Elizabeth, the ship also combines a few stylish Art Deco touches fit for royalty.
