The Phoenician:
Find Your Center in the Desert

The Phoenician resort in Scottsdale, Arizona has long been renowned for its luxurious accommodations, service and world-class spa and wellness facility. Now The Centre for Well-Being spa is better than ever with the addition of new treatments designed with total relaxation in mind.

The 22,000-square-foot Centre for Well-Being houses 24 treatment rooms; a meditation atrium; private consultation room; weight training/cardiovascular studio; men's and women's locker rooms with whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms and Swiss showers; an aerobic studio; and a full-service salon. Special programs are available to combine accommodations at the resort with spa services.

Massage and bodywork therapies added at the center include acupuncture and accusage, which is a combination of healing acupuncture and therapeutic massage. Added to the list of purifying and refining body treatments is the Kachina aromatherapy scrub, 50 minutes of a mild salt scrub with aroma oils. A gentlemen's facial and a 50-minute rosacea facial treatment are some of the skin care treatments offered. Guests of the spa are encouraged to take advantage of the fitness and wellness consultants for personal assessment and training.

If relaxing in the Centre for Well-Being sounds a little too sedate for you, take advantage of the other luxuries the resort has to offer. The Phoenician boasts a park-like, two-acre cactus garden; eleven grand pianos, some available to guests; a multi-million dollar art collection containing works by Allan Houser and David Kessler, among others; an "edgeless" 2,800-square-foot swimming pool and poolside cabanas that may be rented by the day; an afternoon tea time with Rothschild china circa 1860; private dining at The Praying Monk; and an in-house bakery.

Several different types of accommodations are available with 474 guestrooms, 107 private casitas and 73 luxury suites. The main building is centrally located, while the Canyon building is situated against Camelback Mountain and features its own pool and cabanas. The casitas are located near the main building and provide private entrances and villas are private residencies with kitchens, fireplaces, spacious living areas and access to all resort amenities. Guests in all accommodations will enjoy Italian marble bathrooms, robes, three telephones with two lines, Sony CD players-clock radios, a 32-inch flat-screen color TV with surround sound, in-room movie rental, express check-out from the room's TV screen, Lanai decks, a mini-bar and more.

All of the resort's facilities are kept in immaculate shape and perfect functioning order by a super-qualified staff. Check in to The Phoenician and don't forget to make the climb up Camelback Mountain...you just might find yourself at the center of the world.
