The only thing better than nailing the last mogul of the run is knowing that you’re skiing for free. As lift ticket prices continue to rise, the Ski Free Package at the BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire offers guests the chance to enjoy their favorite winter sport at the White Mountains gratis. Located on 15,000 private acres in the Great North Woods, the resort offers 95 kilometers of cross-country ski trails as well as 77 kilometers of groomed downhill trails on diverse terrain, with runs up to one mile long.

The package includes:

• Lodging (Rooms normally start at $178)
• Breakfast in the dining room
• Lift tickets to the alpine ski area (Full day tickets cost $35; half day tickets cost $25)
• Trail passes for cross-country skiing (Trail passes cost $15)

And if carving the perfect turns isn’t your thing, other activities include ice skating, sledding, sleigh rides and cooking classes at BALSAMS' own Culinary Training Center.
