Kick the Habit
Going Cold Turkey in New Orleans

To help you on your way to a smoke-free lifestyle, New Orleans’ International House Hotel is offering an innovative Kick the Butt package through 2006. Supported by The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living, the hotel banned smoking on its premises in January 2006. It now takes its stand one step further by offering the opportunity to go cold turkey with a do-it-yourself quit smoking kit and help from a hypnotherapist. Upon check in, you will receive a kit containing seven tools for helping you fight the good fight:

- Pocket-sized booklet with tips and motivational quotes to help maintain the commitment not to smoke

- Hypnotherapy CD to promote smoking cessation

- Flavorful sugar-filled suckers and hard candies to help curb the cravings

- A stress ball to help keep the smoker's hands busy

- Teeth whitening strips to remove the stains left by nicotine

- Tea to help soothe jittery nerves

- A small change case to start collecting the savings from no longer purchasing cigarettes

Kick the Butt is priced at $269 per night for double occupancy in a deluxe guestroom. For an additional $250, you may add a session from a local hypnotherapy specialist, Dr. Marc L. Zimmerman, a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 25 years in practice. Sessions can be held in the privacy of your room at the International House Hotel. Sessions must be reserved at least three weeks in advance of your stay.

To reserve your package, call 800-633-5770 or 504-553-9550, or go to International House Hotel, 221 Camp St., New Orleans, LA, 70130, reservations@hhotel.com.
