Profile: For Elliott and Lynn Dolin, creating their Malibu Estate Vineyard began in 2005, when the pair noticed that their south-facing exposure would work well for growing grapes. But it wasn't until 2010 that the pair brought in respected Central Coast winemaker Kirby Anderson to help expand the label's reach to the Central Coast, where Malibu Estate now hosts its wine production. Today, the Dolins source their Pinot Noir from respected growers throughout the region, and to go along with the existing Burgundy program, they are expanding with Bordeaux-style wines.

Notes:
Dolin's 2012 Malibu Estate Chardonnay displays aromas of pear and sweet cream along with notes of apple. On the palate, it is well-balanced with lively acidity and flavors of apple and toasted oak leading to a long, silky finish. The Chardonnay's energetic acidity makes it an excellent companion for fresh-cooked lobster, or pair it with a spinach and mushroom quiche for a delicious California-style brunch.
