RED BLEND

Dolin Malibu Estate Vineyards 2012 The Blue Note

Origin:
Malibu, CA

Price: $45

This ain't your grandfather's Bordeaux blend from Malibu... or anyone else's grandfather for that matter. Dolin is part of the first wave of commercially available wines to come out of the famed beach community of Malibu. And it is among the best. This small production combo of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc is possessed of balanced fruity acidity and moderate tannins. There's pepper, plum and just a hint of oak. A fine complement to red meats and cheese.
