David Ramey cut his teeth in France working for the Moueix family at the renowned Château Pétrus before returning to California and renowned wineries such as Chalk Hill and Matanzas Creek. He's a true pioneer and has had considerable influence on the way many wines in America are made today. Ramey's a proponent of the use of oxidized juice in making white wine, eliminating skin contact for most white grapes and full native malolactic fermentation of Chardonnay. This is Ramey's first estate Chardonnay, and it's a wine of great complexity and harmony.
