RED Whereas expanding production often causes wineries to source more of their grapes from elsewhere, Sequoia Grove actually uses more estate-grown fruit than before, thanks to its acquisition of the Tonella Estate Vineyard in 2006. A plush wine, the 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon boasts bright red fruit flavors with notes of vanilla and mocha and smooth tannins. It would pair well with a variety of foods, from pork loin to gourmet burgers.
