Rodney Strong 2011 Chalk Hill Chardonnay displays a creamy mouthfeel

Rodney Strong 2011 Chalk Hill Chardonnay
Sonoma County, California

As its name suggests, the Chalk Hill appellation is known for its chalky soils, which give the wines produced there a marked minerality. Rodney Strong was the first to plant Chardonnay in the area in 1965. Grown on the winery's estate vineyards, the 2011 Chalk Hill Chardonnay features an excellent balance of fruit and oak complemented by a creamy mouthfeel.
