Quinta do Vesuvio began as one of the great estates of Portugal's Douro Valley under the management of Dona Antonia in the mid-1800s. Since 1989, the label has been under the control of the Symington wine family. One of the largest wineries in the region, it is also one of the last places in the world where grapes are crushed by human feet. The Pombal do Vesuvio is a rich and silky red that has flavors of plum and black cherry.
