Big Apple BBQ Block Party
15 pitmasters from across the U.S. serve up their signature grilled dishes in Madison Square Park.
The Big Apple is about to get a whole lot hotter the weekend of June 10-11 thanks to some of the country's best grillmasters and their best dishes available 11 a.m - 6 p.m during the BBQ Block Party. Among the 15 there's John Wheeler of Memphis Barbecue Co. in Mississippi serving baby back ribs with beans, Bill Durney of Hometown Bar-B-Que in Brooklyn serving smoked beef short ribs with pickles and onions and John Stage of Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in New York serving St. Louis Ribs with Beans. Sides and desserts will also be available from Root & Bone, The Original Fried Pie Shop and Sugaree's Bakery including sweet corn on the cob and and three-layer caramel cake. There will be four live performances each night by acts including National Reserve, Walker Lukens and Cris Jacobs and all day DJ sets from Amira Nader on Saturday and Vinyl Ranch on Sunday.
The Fastpass is $150 for both days and include $125 towards food and beverages and access to express lanes for two. The Big Rig VIP Pass is available for Saturday or Sunday for $275 and it includes access to a private VIP Area for two, the Fastpass and access to express lanes for two.
