Set between the two ancient Venetian synagogues, this museum houses artifacts going back to the 16th century.
In the Cannaregio district, you'll find a mixture of striking churches, Byzantine palaces and the celebrated Jewish quarter, which all lend an exotic air to this unique neighborhood. This is also where the Museo della Comunità Ebraica, or Jewish Museum, is located. The museum is divided into two sections, each having their own major focus. One section is devoted to Jewish festivities and religion; the second highlights the history of Venetian Jews. Historic artifacts, such as ancient texts and goldsmith manufactured items can be viewed.
