The Cherry Blossoms and the signature pagoda of Japantown

Nihonmachi, as it is known to more than 12,000 San Franciscans of Japanese descent, is made up of three square blocks packed with sushi bars, restaurants, shops, art galleries, Japanese baths and a five-tier pagoda. Major events visitors can expect include the Cherry Blossom Festival and the Nihonmachi Street Fair and for a taste of Japanese culture there's the Kabuki Springs & Spa, the Taiko Dojo showroom and Sundance Kabuki Cinemas as well as several sushi spots.
