Maui Ocean Center

This 3-acre marine park, known as "The Hawaiian Aquarium," is the largest tropical reef aquarium in the West.

The Maui Ocean Center has the largest collection of live corals

The aquarium is home to the world’s largest collection of live Pacific corals and a mix of over 60 indoor-outdoor exhibits featuring Hawaii's marine life. Guests can venture through the 750,000-gallon open ocean exhibit featuring a 54 ft. walk-through tunnel with a 240-degree view, observe Hawaiian green sea turtles and discover some of Hawaii's lesser known sea creatures.

Shark Diving: Cage Not Included

Scuba divers will never be surprised by the sudden appearance of a shark at the Maui Ocean Center. That's because they know, before submerging themselves in the 750,000-gallon tank filled with thousands of tropical reef fish and twenty stingrays, that as many as twenty of these underwater predators await them. The whole idea of Shark Dive Maui is to get up close and personal with up to six different species of sharks, including hammerheads and reef sharks. The experience is open to certified scuba divers though friends and family can watch from the exhibit’s viewing area and the tunnel. Must be at least 12 years old and packaged start at $199.
