2013 Top 40 Restaurants in the U.S. " THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Corton

CORTON IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED AFTER THE DEPARTURE OF CHEF PAUL LIEBRANDT. Since this chic TriBeCa eatery is named after the largest area for Grand Cru wines in Burgundy, it's not surprising that wine is a major focus here, or that wines from said region figure prominently on its French-intense wine list. Chef Paul Liebrandt, formerly of Atlas and Bouley Bakery, is well suited to pair his modern French menu with the selections --- early in his career, he worked under Pierre Gagnaire for a year in Paris.
