Chaya Brasserie in San Francisco will offer a three-course chef’s menu with bottomless mimosas and Champagne. Options include smoked trout, rainbow sashimi, buttermilk-fried organic chicken breast, soy-marinated flatiron steak, five-spice duck-confit hash, Japanese cheesecake, coconut-kale sorbet and more.
The lofty-ceilinged, Belle Èpoque-outfitted Grand Cafe in San Francisco’s Hotel Monaco will serve a Mother’s Day brunch buffet featuring an omelet station, a seafood station, a pastry station and more.
At Berkeley’s Joshu-Ya Brasserie, chef-owner Jason Kwon is offering a four-course prix-fixe Mother’s Day menu that includes morel spring risotto, mushroom-crusted ocean trout, Wagyu steak, scallop-uni fettuccini and bone-in pork chops — plus complimentary glasses of wine for all mothers.
The quietly glamorous Oak Room in San Francisco’s Westin St. Francis is offering a Mother’s Day mimosa-and-Champagne buffet that features a carving station with prime rib and honey-baked ham, seafood station with prawns and crab, and more.
All mothers who dine at San Francisco’s Bluestem Brasserie on Mother’s Day will be given Bluestem tote bags containing house-made cookies.
All mothers who dine at E&O Asian Kitchen on Mother’s Day will receive complimentary lemongrass-infused chocolate truffles created for the occasion by chef Sharon Nahm.
Aurea in the Renaissance San Francisco Stanford Court Hotel is offering a lavish Mother’s Day brunch featuring its signature lemon-soufflé pancakes, Dungeness crab florentine and other dishes.
At Alioto’s in San Francisco, general manager Matt Violante — the fourth generation of the family that has owned this Fisherman’s Wharf landmark — will hand out roses to all mothers on Mother’s Day.

At Livermore’s Restaurant at Wente Vineyards, chef Matt Greco and Master Gardener Diane Dovholuk join forces for a special three-course brunch featuring warm asparagus with salt-roasted radish, caviar, sabayon and hothouse greens; scallops with spring peas, black trumpet mushrooms, ham and almond milk; and yeasted cherry tart with streusel, saba and vanilla cream.
Oakland’s Lake Chalet is serving special à la carte Mother’s Day brunch items, including lobster-mascarpone scramble, eggs Benedict with braised pork shoulder and buttermilk biscuits, bananas Foster rum french toast with caramel sauce, and poached egg Cobb salad. Mothers will receive free gerbera daisies.
San Francisco’s Absinthe Brasserie & Bar is serving a special à la carte Mother’s Day item on its regular brunch menu: baked salmon Wellington with peas, fava beans, wild mushrooms and caramelized potato-ham broth.
At San Francisco’s Colibri Mexican Bistro, festive Mother’s Day brunch dishes include chilaquiles, pozole and carne asada. All mothers will receive complimentary glasses of sparkling wine.

At San Francisco’s 1300 on Fillmore, chef David Lawrence offers a special à la carte Mother’s Day Gospel Brunch featuring live gospel music and Southern classics such as catfish po’ boy sandwiches, grits, Cajun ham and barbecued shrimp.
The Americano in San Francisco’s Hotel Vitale is presenting a three-course Mother’s Day brunch, with complimentary glasses of Perrier-Jouët for all mothers.
At the unforgettably beautiful Garden Court in San Francisco’s Palace Hotel, a decadent Mother’s Day buffet will be augmented by live jazz. All guests will receive complimentary family portraits for the occasion.
San Francisco’s atmospheric, historic Presidio Social Club is offering its usual brunch menu, plus a Mother’s Day special, first-of-the-season Oregon bay shrimp salad with avocado and brioche.
At San Francisco’s Luce, all mothers will receive complimentary roses. Brunch options include Niman Ranch short-rib hash with organic poached egg and smoked salmon Benedict with cucumber-fennel salad.
At Foreign Cinema in San Francisco, chef-owners Gayle Pirie and John Clark serve an array of dishes that they created especially for Mother’s Day — including organic fruit “Pop Tarts,” oysters with mignonette, brandade with whipped cod, smoked salmon with black tobiko, and fried eggs with shaved asparagus.
At Lafayette’s Yankee Pier Lafayette, chef-partner Michael Dunn offers an à la carte Mother’s Day brunch menu featuring such items as griddled French toast with fresh-strawberry compote, asparagus-and-oyster-mushroom hash with poached eggs and eggs Benedict with Dungeness crab.
If you have daytime plans, enjoy Mother’s Day dinner! Berkeley’s Ajanta will offer its Chef’s Tasting Menu, comprising tandoori Portobello mushrooms, chicken chaat, tandoori scallops, tandoori lamb rib chops, green fish curry and butter chicken. Vegetarian versions will also be available.
