Halloween Parties in Las Vegas

1. Witch’s Halloween Gala at La Strega – October 30

La Strega, which in Italian means “the witch,” will celebrate its first Halloween with the “Witch’s Halloween Gala.” There will be a festive meal by chef Gina Marinelli with each course paired with seasonal cocktails. The gala will begin at 7 p.m. with welcome cocktails and passed canapés, followed by the five-course dinner of burrata in roasted pumpkins with pepita seed pesto, poached langoustine with aqua pazza and fregola, bone marrow cavatelli with parsley crumbs, an intermezzo of lemon granita, braciole with black truffles and autumn vegetables, and chocolate budino with drunken cherries and Averna whip. Guests are encouraged to wear black. Tickets are $125.

2. 1920s-themed Costume Party at The Mob Museum – October 31, 5 p.m.-midnight

The Mob Museum presents a 1920s-themed Costume Party at The Underground. (The password for free entry is “Heebie-Jeebies.”) There will be live jazz music by “Lady and the Vamp” (7 p.m.-11 p.m.), $10 drink specials (5 p.m. to midnight), tarot card and crystal ball readings (7 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and a 1920s-themed costume contest (9 p.m.).

3. Halloween BBQ at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas – October 31

This Halloween, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas will host a casual barbecue at its PRESS lounge highlighting Asian and American specialties. Held on the patio, the gathering will feature Eastern dishes including Korean kalbi short beef and rib-eye bulgogi beef with Napa cabbage kimchi; braised pork belly and pork ribs with black bean sauce and vegetable chow fun; and Thai beef sirloin satay with coconut lemongrass peanut sauce, pad thai noodles and Vietnamese brisket pho. The Western menu will range from smoked baby-back ribs with maple BBQ sauce to bacon-wrapped Kurobuta pork tenderloin with hot Dijon potatoes, and rib-eye beef carpaccio with horseradish cream-fried capers. Also available will be Kurobuta ‘green eggs and ham’ and coffee-rubbed American gold-grade beef brisket. A dessert station will offer s’mores cooked to order and homemade gelato. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and guests are encouraged to come in costume. The cost is $55 per adult and $25 per child (age 10 and younger). For reservations call 702-632-5121.

Halloween Dishes & Drinks at Las Vegas Restaurants

1. Once Bitten Cocktail at Cabo Wabo Cantina

Cabo Wabo Cantina is getting in the Halloween spirit with the Once Bitten cocktail. Available from October 18th, the concoction features Bacardi Cuatro, St. Germain, ginger beer, lime juice and a swirl of blood orange purée. Guests also get to take home a sugar skull-shaped souvenir glass.

Indulge in the Halloween CrazyShake at Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer at The Venetian from October 30-November 3. This dessert features a vanilla frosted rim with candy corn topped with a ‘spider-web’ chocolate cupcake, an orange and white twisty pop, orange rock candy, whipped cream, orange sprinkles and chocolate drizzle.
