Cider Fest at The Shady Grove Lounge

The Shady Grove Lounge at the Silverton Casino will usher in fall with its inaugural Cider Fest.


Running from Sept. 1-Oct. 31, several hard ciders with a range of tastes and styles will be available on tap. Also being offered is a menu of “festival favorites” to complement the ciders, including:
– made-to-order State Fair mini doughnuts;
– apple cider puff pastry made with ACE hard cider-infused apples and topped with pastry crumbs, caramel sauce, and vanilla ice cream;
– disco fries topped with gravy, melted mozzarella cheese, cheese sauce and shredded beef short ribs; cheese curds;
– and giant soft pretzels.

2. Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino Fall at the Terrace Pop-up – September 15-November 11, 2023 (Fridays & Saturdays)

Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino Fall at the Terrace Pop-up

Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino has announced the return of its pop-up lounge, Fall at the Terrace.

Running Sept. 15-Nov. 11 on Fridays and Saturdays from 4-11 p.m., the fall-themed outdoor lounge offers festive drinks and bites in an atmosphere filled with picturesque autumn hues, bright colors and falling leaves. The bites include:
– pumpkin hummus with piquillo pepper gremolata ($14)
– salted zucchini chips with basil aioli, prosciutto wrapped figs ($12)
– pumpkin terrine with dark chocolate and Chantilly cream ($11)
– and pecan bar with salted caramel puff and berry tart ($12).

Several cocktails priced at $16 are offered, such as the Autumn Equinox with Avion reposado, crème de cassis, apple, lime and ginger beer. Two wine flights, the California and World Traveler, are $38 each. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are available with a food and beverage minimum of $150 for pergolas and $100 for other tables reserved in two-hour blocks.

3. Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer – October 1-31, 2023

For the month of October, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer at The Venetian offers Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween Graveyard Shake.

This treat is a mud pie milkshake with a chocolate frosted rim with orange & black sprinkles, topped with an M&M cookie pie, gravestone cookie, crumbled Oreo, gummy worms, whipped cream, orange & black sprinkles, and chocolate shavings.

4. Spooktacular Ice Cream at Salt & Straw – Through October 2023

Ice Cream at Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw ice cream shop in Las Vegas serves up The Scoops & Skulls Seriesof flavors for the month of October.

• Sugar fiends will go gaga over The Great Candycopia, composed of salted butterscotch ice cream loaded with homemade versions of Snickers, Kit Kats and peanut butter cups.
Creepy Crawly Critters incorporates real chocolate covered crickets and toffee-brittle mealworms into matcha ice cream.
• Other temptations include Jack O’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread and Blackberry Tamales (vegan).

5. Halloween at The Golden Tiki – October 1-31, 2023

The Golden Tiki gets in the Halloween spirit all month long with over 4,000 square feet of spooky decorations.

The bar was even featured on the Travel Channel series “Ghost Adventures” with Zak Bagans. Reservations are suggested. (Ask about the haunted booth.)

6. Mystery Dinner Theater – October 26, 2023

A Touch of Mystery: Ruby's Riddle

Lawry’s The Prime Rib will host a mystery dinner theater production entitled “A Touch of Mystery: Ruby’s Riddle.

The menu features a spinning bowl salad served with fresh sourdough bread; choice of 8-oz cut of roasted prime rib of beef, oven-roasted salmon filet or vegetarian entrée; and chef’s choice dessert. The cost is $125 (inclusive of tax and tip).
