Volvo’s redesigned XC70, now sharing many of its components and systems with the S80, balances its off-road intentions with the Swedish carmaker’s usual complement of comfort and safety. This athletically styled, five-passenger family wagon handles rugged surfaces with ease, being equipped with an all-wheel drive, dynamic stability and traction controls, and a hill descent control. A laundry list of safety features includes an optional adaptive cruise control with a collision-warning system and brake support.

Inside, the Volvo showcases a luxurious and spacious cabin, which provides 72.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity when the seats are down. Standard creature comforts comprise of a leather-wrapped steering wheel, eight-way power adjustable front seats and a 160-watt, eight-speaker sound system with a CD player, auxiliary audio input and MP3 capability. A dual-screen entertainment system for the rear seats, navigation system, power moonroof, heated front and rear seats, and blind spot information system are optional.
