It’s no secret that we adore French cinema, so GAYOT.com is proud to announce the details for the 17th annual City of Lights, City of Angels (COL•COA) Film Festival in Los Angeles, which features films released in France over the past year.

The weeklong festival will feature more than 50 films shown in three theaters throughtout the week. The event will feature homages and classics of renowned French filmmakers. For the first time, the festival will honor a producer, Anne-Dominique Toussaint, and feature two of her films during festival week.

The event will pay tribute to director Alain Resnais with a presentation of “Stavisky,” and plans to honor writer-director Maurice Pialat with a screening of “To Our Loves.” COL•COA will also present the North American premiere of the restored version of “Bay of Angels” during the festival, a rarely-seen classic written and directed by Jacques Demy.

All screenings will be in French with English subtitles. Family-oriented animated films will be dubbed in English.
