THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED 12 Temple Place Restaurant Review:

Re-branded as 12 Temple Place, the restaurant in the Swissôtel The Howard London is now modern British in style. The décor has been jazzed up, but the garden remains a delightful oasis with a waterfall in the background. The menu, under Scottish-born Brian Spark, champions British produce, as in English watercress soup (though with French truffled crème fraîche). Much is made of Scottish salmon, Scottish halibut, English asparagus and the like, imaginatively cooked. Try Welsh lamb with pea and tarragon purée, seasonal vegetables and a mini shepherd’s pie, and to follow English rhubarb done three ways: as a soufflé, fool and a daiquiri. The wine list ranges wide with a good selection of wines by the glass, and they have introduced a beer menu. Prices at this level of London restaurants are very reasonable; service is charming. Tasting menu £54, with matching wines £81, with matching beers £69.
