123 Bolinas Restaurant Review

: What began as a modest wine bar has morphed into one of Fairfax’s most popular restaurants. Chef-partner Brittney Adamo tips her toque to the fermenting craze with dishes such as cast-iron grilled cauliflower with kimchi and cilantro yogurt, and infuses local ingredients with global flair with Humboldt oysters drizzled with Thai chili mignonette and mango. Much of the menu is designed for sharing, as with the house charcuterie and cheese plates served on rustic boards and the crusty pizzas topped with whatever is in season. Seasonal offerings change frequently but rarely disappoint. Don’t miss the charred shishito peppers with lemon aïoli for a starter with a glass of wine from the restaurant’s taps. 123 Bolinas offers glasses and bottles but also a “smidge,” which is about half a glass, just the ticket if you want a splash more but don’t want to commit to a whole glass.
