320 Main Restaurant Review

: Earthy, cozy confines and a sleek bar where patrons can gather while the game plays on the flat-screen TV above give 320 Main a neighborhood hangout vibe. But the food and drinks go beyond the traditional. The cocktail program boasts handcrafted libations that taste as good as they look, ranging from a classic Moscow Mule to a tequila, mezcal and clover honey concoction known as Amexicillin. Executive chef Jaime Carrano, who has worked in the kitchens of Bouchon in Beverly Hills and Aureole in New York, created a tight, contemporary menu that showcases his mettle in a way that feels accessible and not forced. Starters showcase this flair by way of bone marrow Wellington with mushroom stuffing, buffalo chicken mac 'n' cheese with orecchiette, and maple syrup bacon strips with arugula salad. Carrano's creativity shines through the entrées as well, with pan-seared ahi tuna with soba noodles and broccolini; soy, garlic and ginger marinated hanger steak; and Kurobuta pork chop with braised red cabbage apple slaw and mashed plantains. Finish with a dessert like the brown sugar cake. Weekend brunch offerings do a great job of connecting the first and second meals of the day, as in the fried chicken with brioche french toast and red wine short rib and potato hash.
