Tucked away on a side street downtown, 47 Scott could get lost among all the hustle and bustle. But customers keep coming back for the well-prepared comfort foods and cocktails. A warm caprese salad consists of roasted eggplant, fresh roma tomato, bright basil leaf and mozzarella drizzled with garlic oil, basil oil and a warm balsamic vinegar that take this ubiquitous dish to a new level. The restaurant’s famous grilled cheese sandwiches --- sourdough filled with mozzarella, yellow cheddar and Fontina --- are grilled with garlic olive oil and then served stacked on a plate. Bigger appetites will appreciate the grilled ruby red trout that comes with tiny, tender polenta cakes and pappardelle made of zucchini and summer squash. Choose a cocktail or a bottle of wine from the small but complete wine list. Finish with a house-made dessert.
