: Part of an extensive repertoire of eateries at the historic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, 54 Degrees at Duane’s is located just outside the more formal dining room, functioning essentially as a lobby bar. The menu is limited to sushi rolls and small plates, but if you insist on a menu item from either Duane’s or the Mission Inn Restaurant, the deferential staff is unlikely to deny you. Fried calamari is paired with a spicy aïoli, the quesadilla is loaded with shrimp, and mussels are steamed in a Chardonnay broth. It’s a fun spot to relax with a glass of wine or martini before heading out on the town or back to the room. Twenty-eight wines by the glass are offered and the wine cellar has more than 7,000 bottles. |
