Fourteenth GAYOT Dinner Series | 6th Annual Indulge Los Angeles, Chocolate Festival & Pastry Show

By Sophie Gayot

December, 2014

I think that in the world of sweets, there are two categories of people: those who love chocolate and those who don’t. Very rarely, we run into the second category, and when it happens it’s good because it leaves more for us —- you will understand that I am part of the first group.

So, if you are not one of these rare specimens, and will be in the Los Angeles area on December 28th, 2014, there is only one place you’ll want to be: the 6th Annual Indulge Los Angeles, Chocolate Festival & Pastry Show.

It will start at 12:30 p.m. with a Champagne tasting hosted by dating expert Brooke Lewis; then there will be a VIP reception from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. with more Champagne plus chocolates.

From 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., the doors open for the full event featuring some 50 different stands where you will be able to indulge in savory bites by Mastro’s Ocean Club, Adam Fleischman’s ChocoChicken, chef Matt Dhillon (who will prepare a 5-course tasting menu), cheeses by Kerrygold Cheese, Food Network Star Season 8 Finalist chef Malcolm Mitchell, SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills executive pastry chef Kriss Harvey, and chef Denise Portillo of Forkingood Café, along with too many chocolates and desserts to list. Expect to see chocolatier Jean-Marie Auboine and Annette Starbuck of Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars.”

One thing’s for sure: you will leave with a sugar rush.
