Though some of the dishes verge on fine dining, the atmosphere at this family-friendly bistro is not at all pretentious. It's fine for a lunch date, an after-work get-together or a family dinner. In addition to steaks and chops, there are also plenty of dishes to please dieters and health-conscious folk. One of the most popular appetizers is the tuna tartare and avocado salad. Always a favorite is the roasted beet salad; microgreens, the younger and more expensive version of baby greens, help to intensify its flavor. Seafood fans should try the everything tuna, the curious spicing of which is actually inspired by the everything bagel, or the New England lobster roll, which diners swear is on par with the lobster rolls you can get in Maine. The wine selection is interesting and, for the most part, quite reasonably priced thanks to the sommelier's preference for lesser-known boutique labels over famous, over-hyped ones.
