Abby Lane Food & Spirits Restaurant Review

: A bustling bar on the first floor, sexy lounge on the second floor and lively pre- and post-theater crowd are what Abby Lane is all about. The Theater District restaurant, located across from the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre, is brought to you by spiky-blue-haired chef Jason Santos, who made a name for himself on the seventh season of "Hell's Kitchen" with Gordon Ramsay. The main dining room has small tables and a dramatic open kitchen. Head upstairs if you want a living room-style dining experience with low tables and wingback chairs and cocktails flowing from the second bar. For dinner, get started with a craft draft beer to go alongside the juicy buffalo chicken wings and roasted garlic hummus with lamb sausage. There are burgers, soups, salads and flatbreads to choose from, but we recommend sticking with the heartier plates like the pan-seared salmon with cauliflower purée and apple cider reduction, or the tender filet mignon tips served with an addicting side of garlic-cheese potatoes. The warm, made-to-order donuts are worth the wait.
