Abigail Street Restaurant Review:

Little bites feel big in this tiny restaurant in the Millennial Mecca of Over-the-Rhine's Gateway Quarter. Reservations are not taken, so come when the place opens at 5 p.m. or arrive during the dinner rush and wait. It's worth it. Chef Dan Wright, who also owns Senate next door, has made the neighborhood a gourmet food court of sorts. The good: Dishes like the pan-seared scallops and the grilled octopus are just right. One could get hooked on the simple Middle Eastern fattoush salad (yellow pepper, radish, tomato, scallion, cucumber, zaatar spice, pita, lemon). Ricotta and local honey on bread has spot-on crunch and texture. The bad: You'll pay the same price for tapas here as you would for a full-size portion somewhere else. Be sure to order enough plates to feed all the appetites at the table. The ugly: It's dinner only and closed on Sundays and Mondays. So plan your outing wisely. Get the baklava for dessert. Abigail Street offers bottled beers and wines on tap. Visit on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for a tailor-made wine flight.
