Adobe Grill Restaurant Review:
Adobe Grill’s setting feels as authentic as its spicy Mexican fare, with its diamond-shaped pavers, colorful tiles and eye-popping hues. Located at the La Quinta Resort & Club, the restaurant overlooks a Spanish courtyard. Strains of live music compete with the chatter of couples, families and pre-nuptial gatherings. Meanwhile, the menu features an array of Mexican favorites, such as carne asada and ceviche. But there are some unexpected surprises, too, including the tocino al pastor, a taco filled with pork belly, smoked pineapple and salsa verde. Expect a number of seafood selections as well. Caesar salad pays homage to its Tijuana origins. Guacamole is made tableside as it should be, and margaritas, served in traditional Mexican stemware, are generously salted at the rim; 100 tequilas are at your disposal and readily available to create this cocktail. For dessert, the house-made churro rolled in cinnamon and sugar provides just the right amount of sweetness.
