THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Adobo Grill Restaurant Review:
It’s the guacamole made tableside that grabs diners’ attention; the contemporary dishes of Mexico and topnotch margaritas keep the crowds returning. The antojitos (appetizers) alone are worth the trip to this far Northside location. Order several to share and experience a variety and flavors. Jicama and caper-accented ceviche with spicy, sweet chile sauce and tiny masa cups filled with plantain also make fine starters. Dubbed “soon to be as famous as guacamole,” the Adobo salad earns its moniker thanks to a lively blend of chopped romaine, crunchy jicama, black beans, tomato and bacon gently touched with a luxe guacamole dressing. The casserole of chicken and wild mushrooms in a creamy poblano peppers salsa is addictive. For a weekend brunch, savor the Pueblan-style eggs Benedictine or scrambled eggs with shredded beef. While the décor is upbeat, the crowd trendy and the food bordering on upscale, this still is a place you can enjoy with the family or for special occasions. There’s even a super kids’ menu with prices any parent will appreciate.
