THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED AGAINN Restaurant Review:

Stumped by the name? A quick translation from the Gaelic is “with us,” which is where folks will want to congregate again and again. Dominating a sunny corner location near the Convention Center, this gastropub pairs good British Isles cooking with an assortment of wines, bottled and draft beers, and, of all things, Scotch lockers for the cognoscenti who want to sip soothing Scotch cocktails. But the main draw here isn’t the booze but the food, which is basically British. Starters include potted pork, pig head roulade and Loch Duart salmon tartare scattered among more familiar offerings such as beet salad and garlic mushrooms on toast. As you might expect, bangers and mash, fish ‘n’ chips with mushy peas, and shepherd’s pie are among the entrée choices, but you can find the classic American hamburger with a British-like twist, served with farmstead cheese and chips, and other less national dishes such as Maryland rockfish, Grandmother’s braised chicken with bacon and pork sausage, and daily specials like leg of Shenandoah lamb. And, of course, the all-British dessert, sticky toffee pudding, is worth every single gooey calorie.
