Agave Grill Restaurant Review:

Even weekday evenings are jumping at this cozy corner cantina, where the food and beverages both exceed expectations for Mexican fare. With more than 80 tequilas to sample (not in one visit!), including some rare distillations, this is a serious place to imbibe over shareable appetizers like pulled pork flautas and Mexican cheese fondue. Few diners can resist starting with guacamole prepared tableside in a stone mortar and "La Fruta" margaritas prepared with house-made sour mix and fresh-squeezed, exotic juices like passion fruit. We particularly like the smooth ahi ceviche with sweet bits of mango. While even tacos come with interesting fillings, such as crispy fish, chorizo or grilled vegetables, we prefer the richly flavored steak arrechera rubbed with garlic and chilies. That is, when we can resist the lobster enchiladas, which pair well with cerveza. When you're ready to trade spicy for sweet, the banana chimichanga awaits, covered in chocolate and honey whipped cream.
