Ajax Cafe Restaurant Review:

The historic Galster House was built in the late 1800’s, but today is home to the Ajax Café. An ideal stop for a day tripper visiting Port Hadlock or nearby Port Townsend, the restaurant is known for its collection of hats. For amusement, guests are invited to don one of the caps or bonnets hanging on the walls and be transformed into a princess or a Klondike trapper. The menu stands up well to the drama, offering stuffed pork chops, braised wild mushrooms over fettuccine, or a fish stew brimming with Northwest favorites such as clams, mussels and prawns. Carnivores will revel in the Black Jack ribs with a savory Jack Daniels barbecue sauce or the New York strip. For seafood fans, the crab cakes are a noteworthy appetizer. There's also a nice selection of affordable wines.
