Alba Osteria Restaurant Review

: Tucked away in the burgeoning area around Mount Vernon Square, this tiny Italian eatery exudes joy, brought to you by a helpful staff and small plates inspired by Roberto Donna. From the lunch menu, your best bet is to order a sampling that will include the pasta of the day, meatballs and salad. And don’t pass up the unique fried bread that comes with an array of cold cuts and Italian cheeses. Larger servings of lamb sausage, spicy shrimp or pork shoulder arrive with their own matching sides. Those with even bigger appetites can try the agnolotti with braised beef short ribs. As for desserts, the unique snow white polenta with crunchy caramel is a must, but you will be equally happy with hazelnut cake. Happy hours and brunches offer more gastronomic treats. Browse through the lengthy Italian wine list for pairings.
